San Blas Marathon

Alvarado Rivera President San Blas Marathon	Come to Coamo, and become part of its history… Greetings!  It´s being around 47 years since the Delta Phi Delta Fraternity started its now traditional San Blas Half Marathon.   Now it is for me a privilege to invite national and international athletes to participate in the no. 48 edition on February 7th, 2010. Throughout the years, this race has become a renowned event with ample participation of important figures of the international long-distance circuit.  The route to San Blas, covering a distance of 21.0975 kilometers, has been covered by thousands of athletes breaking new records, which likewise has turned this sports event into a high caliber and recognized competition.  So, do not miss the opportunity to be part of this edition.  Just go and register! Once again, the Delta Phi Delta Fraternity is inviting all to beautiful Coamo valley, to compete with our friendly neighbors and with the visitors who year after year decide to come to Coamo.  We have already started getting ready to welcome you, dear competitor, and each and every organizer, patron and volunteer to become part of our history every year.  We really would like to welcome you! 	I am rather grateful to my dearest friends for trusting me to fill the chair of Executive Director for a Second Term to the San Blas Half Marathon. The Organizers of this event are still evaluating every possible situation, while getting ready for the fiftieth (50) edition of this event to be held on February 5th, 2012. In the forty-eight (48) event we will hold the second edition of the 5.0975 K, where participants will have the chance of running less than a fourth of the real test, the San Blas Half Marathon.  We cordially invite all our People, visitors from the United States and from around the world to enjoy as spectators or athletes the forty-eight (48) edition of the San Blas Half Marathon. Our life span is around seventy (70) years of age.  If you still have not visited or enjoyed the event, we gladly invite you to enjoy Villa de San Blas, Centro del Universo to really experience the real deal. Before my farewells, though, I simply have to remind all my recognition to my dear friends, volunteers, patrons, Government Agencies and my family for having contributed year after year with their efforts and contributions to our San Blas Half Marathon.
